Prof. Lorz heads the department of International Economics at RWTH Aachen University. Before coming to Aachen, he held positions at the Kiel Institute of World Economics and the University of Konstanz. He was a visiting research scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, USA. His research focuses on international trade and international political economy.

Prof. Piller is a professor of management and director of the Technology & Innovation Management Group of RWTH Aachen University. He is also an Executive Faculty Member of the MIT Smart Customization Group at the MIT Design Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. Before entering his recent position in Aachen, he worked at the MIT Sloan School of Management and has been an associate professor of management at the Department of Information, Organization and Management at TUM Business School.
